-We didn’t know whether we wanted the Vitamix or the Blendtec, but after seeing the demo at Costco, we decided on Blendtec. I think it’s expensive for a blender, but I had two that didn’t really do a very good job. This makes great smoothies, dips and soups. I did an experiment with my cheap Hamilton Beach vs. the Blendtec. I put a 4-inch piece of celery and a cup of water in each blender and powered up. The Blendtec made celery water – there wasn’t so much as a string in sight. No remnant of the celery – just green water. The Hamilton Beach whirled the celery minimally and left the celery almost totally intact. We’ve used our Blendtec many times and found it well worth the price. We paid about $425 at Costco, including tax. We also have a recipe book that came with it.

We could blend up our dinner and give it to him as well when he was in that stage. It is loud when it blends certain foods/ice but it has never caused our toddler to wake up. It is easy to wash. -I looked at what seemed to be a million blenders. I do a lot of vegan and raw foods but I didn’t want to spend upwards of $400. I love this blender! It has handled everything I hoped it would, including frozen fruits for smoothies. It is very quiet for a blender. I like the die-cast base, the simple controls (who really needs 14 settings?), and the pulse setting. The only minor flaw is the difficulty in getting out the last 1/4 cup of whatever I’ve made. Overall, I very much recommend this blender.

- We use this daily and so far have no complaints. My only piece of advice is to not remove the blade every time you clean it. It can be a pain and you have to be careful to not lose the seal. We misplaced ours once and it leaked like crazy. Which, was totally our fault. But to avoid possibly losing the seal, I wouldn’t remove the blade at every cleaning. Great product and would purchase again.

- I bought this for my father for Christmas. He loves making margaritas, but could never get his blender to shave the ice well. This blender shaves ice perfectly and comes with some great drink recipes. I have the larger version that I also use for smoothies, but this size is nice for every day use if you have limited counter space, or as a gift.

-I am so glad we took the plunge and bought this machine. PERFECT SHAVED ICED CONSISTENCY – JUST LIKE IN THE RESTAURANTS! Very easy to make and very fast. Make sure you follow the recipe ratio in the directions. The recipe calls for 2 to 1 ratio. I was used to following the recipe on the back of most Magarita mixes that are 3 to 1 (Mixer to Alcohol).

-I recommend this product as the perfect complement to a beautiful summer evening. It is simple to use and even the most cocktail-challenged can make a perfectly blended margarita. BTW – Use quality ingredients (i.e., good tequila, etc.) for the best results!

- I was looking for an inexpensive small personal blender that was powerful, easy to use, and could blend a perfect smoothie. I did a lot of research and looked into about a dozen other brands including the famed “Magic Bullet”. What I found out was that not all personal blenders are made equal. The “Magic Bullet” didn’t get very good reviews even though it is by far the most popular. After all my intense research, I settled on this one… The Hamilton Beach Single Serve Blender. Here’s the scoop on what makes this surprising blender the “cream of the crop”

-Works nicely for mixing up those breakfast protein shakes but the lid started cracking after only 3 months of daily use so when mixing it leaks at that point, I have to try to plug it with my finger to stop it from leaking onto the counter, other then that i’m happy with how easy it is to use and clean.

- I was concerned that maybe some of the positive reviews on here were paid reviews since the negative reviews were so bad, but I’d have to say this ranks up there with the best $15 I’ve ever spent. The size is perfect for a big but not too big smoothies. Storage even upright is very compact. So far I’ve been blending fruits, veggies, maybe throwing in a handful of nuts and it works great and fast. Clean-up is much simpler than a standard blender. My boyfriend tried to throw some ice in there, and it just kinda chipped away at the sides – so not an ice crusher – but I don’t like ice in my smoothies anyway. Definitely recommend!

-This is a great little blender for smoothies and similar drinks. If too much ice cubes or big chunks of fruit are used, it won’t blend but neither will a standard size blender. If there’s room, add some liquid to get the contents swishing around and that usually solves the issue. The best thing about this product is the 2-piece clean up. I’ve had mine for 3 years, with no problems.

-This little handy-dandy blender fills the bill for me. Instead of dragging my full size heavy blender out of the cubbard just to make a smoothie – I now can just plug in this sweet little blender and in a short time have a delicious drink. -We bought this Kitchenaid blender over a year ago, and after several months the container started to leak. The leak was small, and we put up with it for awhile. We finally got tired of the mess, however, and called the factory. We were told that the container had been redesigned, and they would send us a new one immediately even though our warranty had expired. When we got the new one we could see that it had indeed been redesigned, and have used it for some time now, and NO LEAKS. A leak proof container plus the other great features of this blender now warrant a definite five stars.

-  My husband and I make smoothies almost every single night (as in, 6-7 nights/week), so we’re really hard on our blenders. We have been through 4 blenders in the last 3 years alone. We started with a cheap Oster blender, but quickly realized that it was pretty much useless for the thick smoothies we like to make. Next, I bought the Back to Basics Smoothie Elite, which was great for as long as it held up, but as it turned out, that was only 6 months. So, we upgraded to the Back to Basics Smoothie Professional, which was great until I dropped the glass jar into the sink and broke it, only to find that you couldn’t buy a new one ANYWHERE so my $120 blender was now worthless.

-GREAT Blender. I use it to make smoothies probably 3 times a week. My old blender would barely crush ice and this one gets it done super quick. It’s really easy to clean too. Would recommend to everyone.

First time I used this blender, I was amazed how powerful it was! Yes, it was noisy, but its a BLENDER! I’ve made smoothies, shakes, and picante salsas in this blender, and its done a beautiful job each time. Easy to clean, and the pitcher shape helps expedite the pitcher contents out as your pour.

-Why, you say, should I spend this insane amount of money for a blender? My answer: Because it’s worth it. There is simply no comparison to other blenders. The Vitamix is the best. It really does crush ice effectively, make ice cream in seconds from frozen fruit and cream, and produces drinks and sauces that are utterly smooth, plus soups to die for. I make my own hummus and used it for baby food regularly, guests love it for silky frozen drinks, and it lasts–with zero problems. It’s a quality device. Advertising is geared to health food because you can make drinks or soups from fresh produce and take advantage of the natural fiber that juicers take out, and they’re right, but that’s not why I bought it. I bought it because I hate the odd chunky bits of fruit in my smoothies, I hate taking blenders apart for cleaning and I wanted something I could depend on to do what I wanted each and every time. I’ve not been disappointed.

-I LOOOOOOOVE this blender. I have been wanting a vitamix for 5 years and instead of just executing on the purchase, I kept buying inferior blenders for a couple hundred less. Including a breville — the most expensive one available at Williams Sonoma. It is garbage compared to the vitamix. You can blend ANYTHING in this. My GF recommended I include avocado pits in my smoothies as they are super food so I did and it WORKED, no issue. Every morning I make my husband and I a HEALTH packed green smoothie. As an example today — kale, spinach, broccolli stems, carrots with tops, celery cucumber, banana, apple, mango, and berries with splash of coconut water, flax seeds, vitamin b12 (because I am vegan), hemp protein, and spirulina. It looks HEINOUS but is DELICIOUS. I have more energy throughout the day and my farmer’s market purchases NEVER go bad because I just blend em all up. My compost bin is sitting largely unused because I use it all!!

- This is a work horse of a mixer! It does everything… mix, grind, cream, whip… you name it and it does it! I love my Vitamix. My health and the health of my family matters to me grately and I appreciate the convenience and the freedom Vitamix provides to me. I can make my own mayo and not worry about rotten ingredients in it… I can make the best tasting soups in minutes… grind my own flours from sprouted grains… make my own breads… chop onion without weeping… etc. The recipe book that comes with Vitamix has to be used with great caution, however, in my humble opinion as a medical professional! I have to admit that it is full of bad advice about ingredient choices… canola oil being one of them… soy milk being another… Ouch! Don’t look for a sound nutritional advice in the cookbook. But, if you use the basic idea of the recipe and know enough to substitute poorly advised ingredient with the one that belongs to REAL foods than you are set! The blender itself is a dream!

- Have this blender for about 6 weeks now and use it on a daily basis for green smoothies. It liquifies every vegtable/fruit/ice combo I have tried in a matter of seconds. Worth every penny and just wish I had purchased it sooner.

- My wife and I use this blender every day at least once. This blender replaced a Cuisenart whose gears ground themselves up as they got hot (they were made out of hard rubber, not metal like in the vitamix). We regularly make smoothies and dressings in this blender. This blender also helps make the most amazing soups I have had. Any type of soup or stew that needs to be thickened can be done by spooning out a few cups of an unthickened soup into the vitamix, adding any type of vegetable that seems appropriate, blending, and pouring back into the soup. So much flavor and no risk of the odd texture that can sometimes come from flour/rue.
We now make all of our 6 month olds baby food in this blender and have yet to buy a jar of pre-made food.
